Catcher In the Rye

Ok,while browsing through a community about existentialism i found that many people found themselves just like the hero in catcher in the rye.This is good,well that is it is good to know that i am not alone in the universe.But why do i don't ever meet people with whom i can communicate about these meaningless lives we lead.Life has become so heavy that it is a chore just to move on to the other day.I wanted to become part of the materialistic society and just make some money,but my mind wont let it be....
